Du Vin Osteria, a wine bar that will be serving small plates, cheese, and charcuterie, will be opening on 14th and Florida. The wine bar will also have sidewalk seating. It will be opening in the Solea building. Now, I might be among a few that are thinking “really? another wine bar?” but I am also glad to see retail come to this part of 14th street. No ETA on the place, yet Du Vin Osteria’s Facebook page indicates it will be open in summer of 2010.

What in heaven’s name is so libelous in this post … that there might be a proliferation of wine bars, as the blogger sees it? What is this guy so pissed about? If in fact he is, as David says, “pure evil”, a community boycott might not be such a bad thing. I would love to hear more.

I will not be patronizing this place and have already started talking it down to my friends. This guy needs to learn how to be a good neighbor.

I agree with the sentiment voiced here and in the other thread. I’m a pretty heavy restaurant-goer and wine-drinker in that area. Will not go to this place. Ever. Unless there’s an apology from him to you.
