Another sign summer is ending. The last movie of the U Street movie series is tomorrow night. This one sounds great, as it’s a documentary about Duke Ellington, son of U Street, and the DC he grew up in. The other film they’re showing is Soul Power, a documentary about the stars of soul: Bill Withers, James Brown, B.B. King, the Spinners, and many more. The weather looks good, so I hope to see you out there.
Doors open at 7 at Harrison Field (14th and V), movie starts at sundown (which looks to be about 8 nowadays).
