Here’s your semi-regular round-up of what’s happening in the ‘hood:
- PoP has a preview of U Street Cafe, with a new opening date of TODAY. More on my thoughts of the place later in the week.
- Metrocurean has the dish on 1805 14th Street, which others had reported would become Blu Restaurant and Lounge, is actually becoming Cork Market. From the owners of Cork, it will be a wine/gourmet food shop. Sounds fab, but I wonder what happened with the plans for Blu Restaurant and Lounge.
- 14thandYou has more details about the proposed hotel at 13th and U.
- Tim Carman at Washington City Paper has the back story on Eatonville’s chef competition.
