Ball or strike?

Ball or strike?

I’m a Red Sox fan, I grew up in Massachusetts, it’s in my blood. Yes, I was a fan before they won in 2004, and yes I can probably tell you every player who’s on the team. Just because I’m a girl, don’t tell me I’m a bandwagon fan. That rant over, I do just enjoy baseball. I was able to go to the Nats game on Sunday, and had pretty sweet seats. Got some good shots during the game, partially thanks to a good zoom lens. While doing so nearly got hit by a foul ball (I swear, I’m not like that when I’m at Fenway. You don’t talk to me during a game at Fenway, I’m in the zone).

Luckily, this cute kid over here’s dad caught the ball, and while doing so, managed to have his box o’ popcorn explode during the process (great entertainment). After catching the ball ceremonially giving it to his kid, a guy in the row in front of him gave him his box of popcorn, and all was right with the world.

Unfortunately the Nats lost. Again. In the 9th inning. And it was cold, when the forecast was for it to be warm. I did end up buying my first Nats paraphenalia because of that though. Go out to the park some time, if you’re a fan of baseball, if anything, the Nats find new and interesting ways to lose nearly every night. If you’re not that invested, it can be kind of entertaining. And yes, it’s a little sad that this is the best endorsement of the team I can give, but it is what it is. Here’s hoping they get hotter as the weather does.
