This might look to a normal garden to you, but in fact, with closer inspection, it’s not… (click through to see what makes it special)
Oh… but no. This is an elaborate garden that someone clearly spent a lot of time on… full of fake, and only fake, flowers. Crazy. Seen in Adams Morgan on Kalorama near 18th.

I walk by this ‘garden’ all the time. They’ve actually updated those flowers recently. A lot of them were really faded, but then some new ones showed up. Definitely odd, but at least it’s colorful.

Someone put their heart into the effort, and is surely proud. Let’s be thankful for another happy soul in our city.

I agree with Joel, and I’m am avid gardener. I know what you were thinking when you saw this, but to the person who planted it…it’s probably all they can afford in decor, and the flowers came from the Dollar Store.
Plants are expensive, quality dirt for the bed is expensive, mulch, weed control, fencing, tools to prune and dig. It all costs. Joel is right. They put their heart into that, so yes for happy souls and yes to compassion.
Would it do for you? No. Nor me. But for them? I am sure it makes them proud they are being a good homeowner or tenant.

Sorry, I’m not hating. I just find it interesting and somewhat odd, as I’ve never seen something like this before. Not sure where your read that I was judging.
